"Honoring the land through mixed media art, design, and small batch yaupon tea."
Artist, Designer, and Maker
I’m Jordan Falling—a mixed media artist, designer, and proud Cherokee Nation citizen. My work is created along the shores of Lake Ontario and within our national parks and reservations. This space is where visual storytelling intersects with a deep appreciation for well crafted drink culture.
Roots in the Land
Drawing from my heritage, my artwork blends rich tradition with modern techniques. This connection to the land is a direct extension of my family’s legacy: my grandmother was an Executive Secretary of the Interior who helped oversee national parks and reservation lands, while my grandfather was an intertribal leader and the first tribal member to manage all tribal education funding.
Together, they instilled in me the sanctity of our culture. This foundation was nurtured through childhood lessons in cultural arts, later refined by my aunt’s guidance in watercolors, maternal grandmother’s landscape paintings and my formal training at The Art Institute of Pittsburgh.
From Canvas to Cup
Visual art is only part of the story. Years behind the bar taught me to value the meticulous craft of a great beverage and the community it builds. That passion evolved into Falling Leaf Tea Co., named after Chief Redman Falling Leaf.
Whether it’s a ceremonial grade yaupon tea or a new mixed media piece, I bring the same level of care to the blend as I do to the brushstroke.
